A quiet Dr·Medic atelier, the spirit in which the house began

From the House

Where it began, the founding of Scandinavia Corporation

Tokyo, 1998. A Swedish idea finds a Japanese home.

In 1998 we founded Scandinavia Corporation in Tokyo and brought the first photoepilation technology from Sweden to Japan. It is the year our house began.

Every house has a first room. Ours was in Tokyo, in 1998, when we founded Scandinavia Corporation.

The idea was a bridge. We brought the first photoepilation technology from Sweden to Japan, and with it a way of thinking that still shapes everything we make, Scandinavian calm, met by Japanese precision.

Fast, comfortable, within reach

What we offered was simple to describe and demanding to deliver. A treatment that was fast, comfortable and affordable. Salons and clinics took it into their rooms, and the work of the house grew from there.

The motto we kept

From the very beginning we held on to one sentence, to continuously contribute to the advancement of beauty. Almost thirty years later, it has not changed.
