Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Dr·Medic collects, why we collect it, and how we look after it. It applies to dr-medic.com and to any correspondence you have with our Tokyo team.

1. What we collect
When you place an order, we collect the information needed to fulfil it. Your name, email address, telephone number, shipping and billing address, and the details of the items you have chosen.
When you submit an enquiry, a distributor application, a professional order, or a demonstration request, we collect the details you enter in that form, including your company or studio name where relevant.
When you browse the site, we automatically receive technical information such as your IP address, browser, and device type. This helps us keep the site secure and understand how it is used.
2. How we use it
- To process, ship, and support your order.
- To answer enquiries and arrange consultations or demonstrations.
- To assess distributor and professional applications.
- To send order confirmations and service messages relating to a request you have made.
- To send occasional news about the house and new products, only where you have agreed to receive it.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the site.
3. Consent
When you give us personal information to complete a purchase, verify a payment, arrange a delivery, or return an item, we treat that as your consent to use the information for that purpose. If we wish to use your information for a secondary purpose such as marketing, we will ask you separately, or give you a clear opportunity to decline.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to contact@dr-medic.com. Every marketing email also carries an unsubscribe link.
4. Payments
Card payments are handled by our payment processor. Card numbers are entered directly with the processor and are never stored on our servers. The processor is certified to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), and holds transaction data only for as long as is required to complete and account for your purchase.
5. Service providers
We work with a small number of providers who process information on our behalf, including hosting and database services, our payment processor, and our transactional email service. They may only use your information to perform the service they provide to us.
Some of these providers operate facilities outside Japan. Where that is the case, your information may be processed in the jurisdiction in which the provider is located, under that jurisdiction's laws.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar storage to keep your shopping bag between visits, to keep you signed in where applicable, and to measure how the site is used in aggregate. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the shop may then not work as intended.
7. Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose it where we are required to do so by law, where it is necessary to complete your order, or where you have breached our Terms of Service.
8. Security
We take reasonable precautions and follow accepted industry practice to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to a standard we would accept for ourselves.
9. Retention
Order and invoice records are retained for as long as required by Japanese tax and commercial law. Enquiry and application records are retained for as long as needed to answer you and to keep a reasonable business record, after which they are deleted.
10. Your rights
You may ask us to give you access to the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You may also object to a particular use, or lodge a complaint. Write to contact@dr-medic.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.
11. Age
By using this site you confirm that you are of the age of majority in your place of residence, or that you have the consent of a parent or guardian.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the date above is revised. If the company is acquired or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner so that we can continue to serve you.
